I’m proud of the progress we’ve made at Gerry Davis Sports. However, I learned years ago that in order to stay ahead you must keep moving forward. That’s become a mantra of our business.

A year ago we promised to add products in several sports. This year you’ll find new products for soccer, volleyball and wrestling officials in our catalog and on our web page. We’re now researching sport participation levels and products for officials in more new sports. It’s too early to predict which they’ll be, but you can be sure we’ll be adding more sports and quality products again next fall.

A major factor in our growth is the business relationships we’ve forged with different state high school associations. We know a huge percentage of officials in amateur sports work high school games. We also know every state would like to improve its officiating program. So when we find a way to help state associations we’re also helping their officials. In the past two years we’ve established programs in Wisconsin, Illinois and Alabama; we’ve received special approval for officials to wear our products in Washington and Montana; and we’re negotiating new agreements all around the country. Each new agreement – in fact, nearly every conversation – provides new opportunities to work with high school officials in that state. We ask them what they need (and what they want), and we keep their advice in mind as we build our new product lines.

You’ll see our new soccer shirt inside.. It was developed with help from officials in Alabama. We also have four alternatives for volleyball, track, swimming and diving, and most of the advice for those products came from working officials in Illinois. Suggestions from across the country helped us with our new wrestling and basketball pants.

Our long term success is based on offering quality products designed specifically for officials. We know our customers make their product decisions based on quality, service and price.
