Pricing
We work to provide solid value for our customers at the most reasonable price we can negotiate for each item in our inventory. However, due to occasional price changes imposed by our suppliers, the prices published in any Gerry Davis Sports catalog, brochure, sales offer, web page or communication of any kind are subject to change without notice.
Hours of Operation
Our office is open 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central time, Monday through Friday. 24-hour ordering is available through our web page: www.gerrydavis.com. Visit our web page often. When we introduce new products or feature special sale prices, that’s where you’ll find the best deals first!
Merchandise Return Policy
We try very hard to process every shipment to the exact specifications of the customer, yet we understand customers do have occasional problems with mail-order goods. If you experience difficulty with the size, fit or quality of an item purchased from our office contact us immediately!
ALL product returns must be accompanied by a copy of the purchase invoice. All return items must be received by Gerry Davis Sports in new, saleable condition & unworn, unwashed and unused with all manufacturer tags intact and all packaging included. We do not accept return of customized merchandise. If you order embroidery, numbering or other modifications please be certain of your size.
If the original shipment was packed accurately - product, size and color ordered - the customer is responsible for return shipping charges and, in the case of an exchange, for new outgoing shipping charges.
Product returns and exchanges must occur within 60 days of the original shipping date.
Merchandise Warranty
Gerry Davis Sports warrants the products delivered will be those described in this catalog unless the customer is advised of a change or substitution before the date of shipment. In addition, all items will be free of manufacturing defect. In the event you believe a product purchased from our office includes a manufacturing defect, contact our customer service department IMMEDIATELY for instructions. IF YOU ALTER AN ITEM, EVEN IN AN ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT, YOUR WARRANTY COVERAGE IS VOID! Returns for manufacturing defect are not accepted more than 60 days after the date of shipment.
Special Orders
We’re more than happy to assist you with any special needs, whether related to size, color, or an item from one of our suppliers that is not part of our stock inventory. Please discuss your needs with Operations Manager Scott Ehret by phone (877-DAVIS-12). Under most circumstances there will be a $10.00 charge for processing a special order in addition to the normal price of the product; we cannot accept return of any customized or special order item.
Shipping
Shipping costs are, and have been, a major concern. We realize that some small orders might actually have the customer paying more for ground shipping through a major carrier than for actually purchasing a product. Obviously, when that happens no one is happy.
Shipping costs are determined by four factors: package weight, package dimensions, destination zip code, and whether the destination address is a residential or commercial address. Weight is always rounded up to the next pound, so if your order weight 1 lb. and 1 oz. you pay for two pounds of freight. Large orders, or orders that include large travel bags or shin guards, often exceed the “standard” package dimensions, thus incurring a surcharge. Carriers charge more to deliver to a home than to a business, so if possible have packages shipped to a business address. It will save you money every time.
If you prefer the most economical shipping method possible please explain your preference to our customer service staff. Depending on weight restrictions, we will bypass our usual major carrier and send your package via the U.S. Postal Service. Note: On all packages sent by mail the customer assumes the risk of package delivery.
Without question, the best thing you can do to hold down shipping costs is to plan ahead. Major carrier ground shipping is expensive, but expediting delivery using two-day or overnight service multiplies the cost, often exponentially. Try to order several days or a week before you need an item. When calculating a delivery date do not count the day your order ships. For example, if you place an order on Monday morning it will normally leave our warehouse that afternoon. A two day delivery would arrive to you on Wednesday (not Tuesday).
International Orders & Shipping
We are happy to ship orders to customers outside the United States. We find Parcel Post Air provides a good combination of efficient service and economical prices, with delivery to most countries in seven to 10 days. However, it is impossible for Gerry Davis Sports to accurately estimate the customs or import fees charged by various governmental agencies around the world. Please understand the product price and shipping charges quoted are in US dollars and do not include these additional fees.
For customers outside the US and Canada, due to sad experience with international credit card fraud, we require a Western Union or bank transfer payment prior to shipping international orders. When necessary, we’ll be glad to explain the process as you place an order.
